JAMES FINNEGAN's Profile

Mr. Finnegan began his commercial real estate career in the Greater Aurora area with Coldwell Banker Commercial in 1997. He has worked exclusively in the commercial real estate field since that time, providing clients with professional representation for purchasing, selling, leasing and investments. Jim has been recognized for outperforming industry standards numerous times, and has received “Circle of Distinction” awards from Coldwell Banker Commercial for 2007 and 2008; and was “Commercial Salesperson of the Year” for his office in 2008. Prior to entering the commercial real estate field, Jim operated his own general contracting business in west suburban Chicago. Specializing in residential remodeling and commercial and office build-outs, Jim developed contacts throughout the building and construction trades. A working knowledge of and experience with the building trades has on many occasions proved to be an asset to clients, helping make critical decisions and ultimately saving them money. Jim has completed several highly intensive commercial real estate courses en route to his goal of attaining permanent membership in the elite national group: The Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute (CIREI). Such courses stressed taxation, marketing, client representation, leasing and the sale of commercial property. Jim successfully earned his CCIM designation in the fall of 2001. In 2009 Jim became a Certified Property Manager Candidate CPM and completed the required coursework through the Institute Of Real Estate Management.
